The bas-relief mural is a three-dimensional artistic creation using a choice of forex or wood as the base material.
Forex is relatively light, durable and easy to work with, making it a key choice for large-format wall installations.
Wood, on the other hand, gives the project a cosier, livelier feel.
Light plays an essential role in the creation of the bas-relief. The interplay of light and shadow creates a unique atmosphere, bringing out the details and adding an extra dimension to the work.
The bas-relief is painted in the color of your choice, although I prefer ecru.
The addition of small shelves in some of my creations adds dynamism and allows the placement of small objects that enliven the geometric shapes.
CREATION AND REALIZATION
First, I come to your home to take measurements, analyze the source of the light and take a photo of the surface to be covered.
Then comes the moment of creation.
Each one is unique. Geometric shapes are created on the screen in 2D. I draw directly on the photos taken at your home, so that I can visualize the bas-relief in its entirety and establish the right proportions.
Once the pieces have been drawn and validated, they are laser-cut.
The gluing stage is the longest and most meticulous.
Every detail and connection counts.
Next comes painting.
A minimum of 3 coats of paint are required to ensure the bas-relief’s uniformity.
Finally, the bas-relief is carefully mounted on the wall, creating an instant visual impact and inviting viewers to immerse themselves in this graphic environment.
Assembly takes less than a day.
A final coat of paint is applied at your place.
PRICES
For each project, the price of the work varies from case to case.
It all depends on the simplicity or complexity of the shapes, the desired thickness and whether or not shelves are integrated.
Forex or wood, the price is different too.
Wood is more expensive.
The price range for a bas-relief is between €950 and €1050 (incl. VAT) per square meter, depending on the complexity of the project. Design, production, painting and installation included.
